In My Imagination

Imagination is super important. It’s the first step in seeing possibilities and new ways of doing and making things! This children’s song says it’s OK to dream and think outside the box. “I like dancing, playing in the stars, casting out my line to Jupiter and Mars.” Kids sharpen rhyme, rhythm, and creativity--through chocolate orange marmalade trees!

Lyrics:
In My Imagination I like dancing, playing in the stars, Casting out my line to Jupiter and Mars. I like dreaming of places far away. Open up a book, and watch me sail away To an island lost far away at sea With giant coconuts and palm trees And a man with a white coat bringing me tea. It’s wonderful to see, In my imagination. I start singing, making up the words, A song about a magic castle filled with furs. And I imagine a village far away Where all the trees are chocolate orange marmalade, And I’m a royal princess from Japan, Or the queen of an enchanted land With a three story castle made of sand. It’s wonderful to see, In my imagination. Imagining...flying through the stars. Imagining... traveling to Mars. Open my eyes, let me see all the things I can see. So, I like playing with all my friends at school. We pretend we’re animals, wild in the zoo. And I start dancing and singing a new song, And all my friends all jump up and want to sing along. And we fly to a castle in the sky, In a big balloon filled with apple pie With a monkey wearing a polka-dotted tie. It’s wonderful to see, In my imagination.
