The Sound of Sounds

Get kids to listen to and think about the sound of different sounds! “Give me a banjo, it sounds so nice and tingly. Now add a fiddle, it sounds a little jingly.” Can they think of sounds with moods? “I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds.” This little tune builds imagination, rhyme, rhythm, and language skills. It’s like poetry!

Lyrics:
The Sound of Sounds I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds. They’re going ‘round and ‘round, up and down, funny sounds. I like the sound of a trumpet, nice and brassy. I like the sound of a saxaphone, too. You add a bass, and it’s sounding kind of sassy. How about a drum? It’s so much fun. I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds. They’re going ‘round and ‘round, up and down, funny sounds. Add some kazoos, it’s sounding kind of wheezy. I like a bike bell, too. Add a couple of tin cans, that’s pretty easy. What else is new? How about some shoes? Yeah! I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds. They’re going ‘round and ‘round, up and down, funny sounds. Give me a banjo, it sounds so nice and tingly. Now add a fiddle, it sounds a little jingly. I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds. They’re going ‘round and ‘round, up and down, funny sounds. I love the sound of sounds, happy sounds, funny sounds. They’re going ‘round and ‘round, and I love the sound of sounds. Music By: Glenn Bulthuis Performed By: Edye Evans Hyde
