What Am I?

Even after kids gleefully answer the “riddle” of this song, they will find dozens of ways to keep describing it as they sing along. “I come in many colors, it’s up to you to pick. And when I stand alone, I got a stand that you can kick.” Get their wheels turning, as they practice rhyme, rhythm, and imagination to answer one question: “What am I?”

Lyrics:
What Am I? Well, I have a lot of spokes around two rubber wheels. When you pedal real fast, tell me how that feels. When you pedal real fast, it feels like I can fly. Only one question... Tell me, what am I? I come in many colors, it’s up to you to pick. And when I stand alone, I got a stand that you can kick. I can be the color blue like the color of the sky. Only one question...Tell me, what am I? Well, I got a set of handlebars, so you can hold on tight. And if you like to ride early, I even have a light. Well, it takes a little practice, come on and give it a try. Only one question...Tell me, what am I? I have a couple of sprockets and a chain that’s made of steel. Two handbrakes on my handlebars attached to both of my wheels. You can clip a jug of water to the brace between your knees. You can even clip some tassels on and watch them in the breeze. You can raise or lower the way you want the seat. Pack your lunch in your backpack for when you want to eat. I’ll sit by myself until you’re ready to try. Well, only one question...Tell me, what am I? Music By: David John Performed By: David John
